Student Engagement at the CAIPE's Annual General Meeting
CAIPE encouraged undergraduate and postgraduate students to submit a poster for exhibition at a special reception at the CAIPE Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), London Thursday 24th June 2010.
The theme was ‘Interprofessional Learning and Working’ and poster presentations provided an invaluable opportunity for students to disseminate their experiences and/ or findings to everyone attending this event. This was a wonderful day, encouraging student participation which enriched the event.
At this event, an exciting poster competition was held! One undergraduate and one postgraduate winner was selected, receiving a £25 book voucher; publication of their poster on the CAIPE website and in the CAIPE Bulletin; and a copy of ‘Being Interprofessional’, co-authored by CAIPE Board Member, Professor Marilyn Hammick. This book is a must read for anybody involved in health and social care!
The undergraduate winning team included Jatinder Minhas, Charles Anwuzia-Iwegbu, Emma Rowett & Dimple Bhatia, from the University of East Anglia for their poster entitled 'Providing a starting point for future health profession
The postgraduate winner was Louise Worswick, Bournemouth University for her poster entitled ‘Involving patients in a research project with primary care teams’.
