CALL for CHAPTERS: Interprofessional E-Learning and Collaborative Work: Practices and Technologies

Inter professionalism, an emerging model and philosophy of
multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, is an important means of
cultivating �joined up� working across varied and diverse disciplinary and
institutional settings.

The book will be edited by a cross-university team, Dr. Adrian Bromage, Dr. Lynn Clouder and Professor Frances Gordon, all of whom work in the Centre for Inter Professional e-Learning (CIPeL) http://www.cipel.ac.uk/ , a UK Centre for Excellence in teaching and Learning (CETL) .

Submission Procedure
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit via e-mail a 2-3 page
chapter proposal for review that clearly explains the mission and concern of
his or her proposed chapter on or before December 12, 2008.

Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- National Policies and Strategies
- Technological barriers to promoting online inter professional education.
- Approaches to creating reusable inter professional e-learning objects.
- Case studies of creating reusable inter professional e-learning objects.
- Evaluating e-resources (especially reusable e-learning objects) for
diverse users.
- Case studies of inter professional education that incorporates use of
e-resources.
- Emerging technologies for online inter professional education.

This book is scheduled to be published by IGI Global (formerly Idea Group
Inc.), publisher of the �Information Science Reference� (formerly Idea Group
Reference) and �Medical Information Science Reference� imprints. For

January 20, 2009: Notification of Acceptance
April 14, 2009: Full Chapter Submission
June 16, 2009: Review Result Returned
August 11, 2009: Final Chapter Submission
September 30, 2009: Final Deadline
