CAIPE has updated its Principles of Interprofessional Education
CAIPE first published the Principles of Interprofessional Education to guide the provision and commissioning of IPE and to assist in its development and evaluation.In response to numerous requests, In 2006 CAIPE re – issued the statement relating to the definition and principles of interprofessional education it first published in 2001, together with a revised commentary.
CAIPE's definition of interprofessional education has received national and international recognition and is now used world wide. As interprofessional education continues to develop and become established in a global context, so the Statement of Principles has come under review to ensure that can continue to guide and assist this development.
CAIPE commends the revised Principles of Interprofessional Education, drawn from the experience of its members and the interprofessional literature, for the consideration of all who are engaged in commissioning, designing, delivering and evaluating interprofessional education.
