CAIPE Response to the Government’s consultation document: Healthy Lives, Healthy People, Our Strategy for Public Health in England
CAIPE welcomes the Government’s commitment to protecting and enhancing the health of the population in England. CAIPE notes that this strategy will require the collaboration of an eclectic mix of organisations, agencies communities and individuals and that it is proposed within the context of the detailed workforce strategy to be published in the Autumn. Consistent with CAIPE's remit, this response places an emphasis on the education and training implications of the Government’s proposals with particular reference to collaborative practice. It is also appreciated that this document provides an intention which will be legislated for within the forthcoming Health and Social Care Bill. Read the response
