Dr Richard Gray

Richard was appointed to the CAIPE board in 2009 and to the CAIPE executive group in 2012. He is President of the General Practice with Primary Health Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine and has a background as a general practitioner in Brighton. He is an Honorary Faculty Fellow, University of Brighton. He previously was an Associate Dean for Postgraduate General Practice Medical Education, and Principal Lecturer in Primary Care and interprofessional disciplinary lead at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. He was involved in the design and implementation of the undergraduate first year clinical practice modules which included IPE involving nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, social work and medical students. He has an MA in Education (University of Sussex) and an EdD (University of Brighton). Richard has a particular interest in the preparation and support of teachers involved with IPE.
