The CAIPE research student network is represented by eighteen researchers across four continents and continues to expand. Chris has also contributed to developing the UK CAIPE student network and has represented CAIPE at a number of conferences in the UK and abroad.
Chris is currently completing his PhD at the University of Essex where he is developing a theory of collaboration in healthcare education and practice. He previously completed an M.Sc. in Adult Nursing, also at the University of Essex, a programme developed and delivered interprofessionally to nursing, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy students. Chris teaches on a number of programmes at the University of Essex and also works part-time as a staff nurse in Critical Care. This combination of commitments gives him first-hand experience of teaching, learning and working in interprofessional environments.
